Personal guide or self-guided?

When I have some technical problems in my business I often want someone in person or on the phone or live chat to guide me through it.  For other such problems, I am happy to look up an instructional video or instruction sheet and do it myself based on what I find.

When it comes to doing all you can to assure good health in retirement, which model works best for you?

Retirement Wellness Strategies offers a process to develop your unique strategic plan for retirement wellness with a personal guide.  Each step involves a tool and a video discussion with an expert in designing this transition and mitigating health risks for your future.

Propel Comprehensive Wellness takes that same process and breaks it down into monthly self-guided steps with videos and workbooks.  You can spend 5-10 minutes at a time working your way through each step.  A new step (we call them modules) will be yours each month.  Those modules fit together in designing your plan for long-term wellness.

The basic steps are the same.  The same proprietary process is implemented.  The choice is how you best like to learn.

Advantages of a personal guide

  • There is huge accountability in having a personal guide. Each step, each decision will not only be made by you, it will be made with the direct input of a health expert who is getting to really know you.
  • The process can be faster and flexible with a personal guide. Some people have completed all 20 visits in 3 months by combining some tools for a longer session and by meeting weekly.  Others take their time or have periods without sessions based on travel and family plans.
  • You have a chance to ask questions and directly learn from your healthcare expert as you meet for each session. That is very hard to find in today’s healthcare climate.
  • You have a retirement transition expert to help you refine your plans and the identification of your purpose in that next phase of life. Having worked directly with many other successful leaders, a lot of perspective can be added to your planning process.

Advantages of a self-guided process

  • Small, 5-minute steps to explore on your own time. (Certainly you can go through all of the material in 1-2 personal sessions if you choose.)
  • Completely flexible to work within your schedule. Do you like to learn new things at 2am, then this format is for you!
  • You can take your time and return to the material to view it again at any time. Some of the videos will involve demonstrations that you might want to incorporate into your daily routine.
  • Beyond retirement planning, this format includes modules to help you plan for the future so you have the resources you need and you know right where to turn with any health changes you or a loved one experience.

The best part is, you can’t go wrong.  Choosing either of these options puts you far ahead of the masses who fall into retirement without a plan.
